Initial Situation

As a result of the company's successful development and several expansions, there were several ERP systems, data silos and processes that needed to be harmonized and migrated to a common data platform. In subsequent steps, the existing ERP systems are to be replaced by a standardized Microsoft Business Central - gevis ERP.



Assignment

Development of recommendations for the project approach, data migration plan, project organization and teams for the Executive Board, Steering Committee and site management. Existing IT systems, documents, solution manual, implementation methodology of the ERP solution partner, employee skills and their workload due to seasonal business were taken into account.



Success Criteria

Acceptance of the recommendations by the Executive Board, steering committee, site management, working level and internal and external IT solution partners involved.

Microsoft (MS) Sharepoint, MS Office, MS Teams, Leantime Projekt Management (intern)



Methods used

Project contribution and role

The project manager / consultant acted as an external contact person for the stakeholders and took over the management of workshops, project planning, comprehensive analyses and the documentation of all project steps in SharePoint.



Final result, delivery objects

The project was completed within the agreed timeframe. The final deliverables form the basis for further project work and include:

  • Recommendation on the data migration strategy
  • Recommendations for project organization and team structure
  • Recommended project plan for implementation
