Context Publishing @ Tolksdorf.digital – Curating and Reliably Publishing Corporate Context

A website can be technically flawless and still convey an incomplete or misleading image of a company.

Services are listed on different pages. Terms have a clear meaning internally but are understood differently by the public. Context, responsibilities, or capabilities are missing. And information that seems obvious to people must first be inferred by search engines and AI systems.

Context Publishing ensures that approved corporate context is published in a way that is understandable, consistent, and machine-readable. The goal is not to generate as much content as possible, but to present the real corporate world as clearly as necessary.

Publish corporate knowledge in a way that ensures people, AI, and search engines understand it as similarly as possible

Context Publishing is like desktop publishing—only for a business context

In desktop publishing, text, images, rules, and tools are combined to create finished publications. Context Publishing follows the same basic principle.

Using appropriate tools, verified information about the company is transformed into published content and structured context artifacts.

These include, for example:

  • Terms and Their Meanings,
  • Achievements and Skills,
  • Relationships and connections,
  • Responsibilities,
  • Sources and references,
  • Company and organizational information,
  • as well as structured information for search engines and AI systems.

The work leading up to it can be extensive or very simple.

  • Context Insights can reveal where something is missing, not understood, or has changed.
  • Context Curation involves clarifying, reviewing, and approving what is actually to be published.
  • Context Publishing  is the subsequent step in which this approved context is published and maintained.
  • The same people can take on multiple tasks. Especially in small and medium-sized enterprises, there’s no need to create new departments for this.

Context publishing doesn't have to be complicated

For many companies, their existing content management system is already a suitable publishing tool.

  • Text, pages, images, and structured information are maintained in the same place where the company manages its website anyway.
  • Tolksdorf.digital supplements this existing environment with the necessary Context and DBRS deliverables ("artifacts").

The principle remains simple:

Corporate reality → identify and evaluate → curate context → publish using existing or enhanced tools

Context Publishing is not a one-time website project

Companies change. New skills emerge. Responsibilities shift. Performance evolves. Customers ask different questions. And search engines and AI systems are changing, too. That’s why context publishing isn’t a one-time website optimization.

Context Publishing is the ongoing maintenance of a corporate world that can be reconstructed both internally and publicly.

  • Context Insights provides new observations and insights in this regard.
  • Context Curation reviews and organizes the content to be included.
  • Context Publishing publishes the approved context.

And when technical integration is needed, Context Engineering provides support.
This ensures that the Trusted Context World remains connected to the real business world.

The business world is constantly changing. That is why its digital environment must also remain adaptable.

This involves the collaboration of three disciplines:

Context Insights

understands how Context World works.

More about Trusted Context World

Trusted Context World BASIC - Publish Using Your Existing Content Management System (CMS)

BASIC makes the most of what's already available.

The company will retain its content management system and its website.

Tolksdorf.digital centrally manages the necessary development and maintenance tools and provides the agreed-upon deliverables as files. These may include, for example:

The CWDS Index

  • dbrs_frontmatter_index.html,
  • ccr.html,
  • vpr.html,
  • and other agreed-upon DBRS artifacts.

These files can be integrated into the existing website and published there.

The customer does not need to install or operate its own Context World Development System (CWDS).

Version control and maintenance of the generated artifacts can be handled by Tolksdorf.digital. The client publishes the delivered results via their existing CMS—either on their own, with their web partner, or, upon request, with support from Tolksdorf.digital.

BASIC, therefore, expands the existing website rather than introducing a new publishing environment.

Trusted Context World ENTERPRISE - When a Website alone is no longer enough

As the number of information sources and target systems increases, context publishing becomes more challenging.

Then, for example, it's no longer just about the public website, but also about:

  • Intranet and internal information portals,
  • Microsoft 365 or other enterprise systems,
  • Documents and databases,
  • different responsibilities and approvals,
  • AI Agents and AI-Systems,
  • Applications and Interfaces,
  • public and confidential information,
  • or multiple presentation and access layers.

This is where context engineering comes into play more prominently.

Tolksdorf.digital develops and integrates the technical environment in such a way that the same trusted enterprise context can be provided for different systems and use cases.

CWDS supports the creation, versioning, maintenance, and targeted delivery of context artifacts.

More information about Context Engineering

ENTERPRISE does not replace BASIC's publishing model. It extends it in areas where integration, automation, and multiple information environments are required.

Whether to choose BASIC or ENTERPRISE is not a matter of company size

A small company with many information sources, sharing policies, and AI applications can be more technically challenging than a larger company with a straightforward website.

Therefore, the following factors are particularly crucial:

  • how many sources of information are taken into account,
  • how many target systems are being supplied,
  • who is responsible for and approves content,
  • which information is public or confidential,
  • and to what extent publishing should be automated or integrated.

You can get started with BASIC.

As requirements grow, the Trusted Context World can be expanded in stages.

Who does what?

Context publishing can be organized in a variety of ways.

The customer can handle it themselves

  • Publish and update content in the CMS,
  • incorporate the provided context artifacts,
  • review and approve technical statements,
  • and work together with existing web or marketing partners.

Tolksdorf.digital can handle the following

  • Create and version context artifacts,
  • Perform technical maintenance on CWDS and DBRS,
  • Prepare changes,
  • Examine context quality and technical anomalies,
  • Support the publishing process or, if desired, handle most of it,
  • and implement the necessary integration for ENTERPRISE through context engineering.

The rule is simple:

Publishing tasks can be delegated. The responsibility for determining what is true about the company and what may be published remains with the company.

How it relates to digital marketing, SEO, GEO, and related disciplines

Context Publishing does not replace SEO, content marketing, corporate communications, AEO, GEO, or other digital marketing disciplines. Each of these disciplines has its own objectives.

Context Publishing ensures that you have access to clear, consistent, and trustworthy corporate context. The following overviews detail the differences and overlaps.

The following disciplines pursue different goals and address different key questions. Context Publishing and Context Engineering do not replace them, but rather create and integrate the information foundation upon which many of these disciplines are built.
